This modern American IPA, a collaboration between Two Flints and Siren Craft Brew, presents a lean, ultra-clean profile driven by a 100% Pilsner malt base and cold lager yeast fermentation. The sensory experience is dominated by a vibrant hop trifecta of Simcoe, Columbus Cryo, and Riwaka, yielding a bouquet reminiscent of clear gummy bears, zesty citrus, and sweet pineapple. On the palate, the resinous pine of Simcoe and the tropical intensity of Riwaka are underpinned by a sharp, firm bitterness that lingers through a bone-dry finish. It is a crisp, bright interpretation that prioritizes hop clarity and high drinkability.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (approx. 4-6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a tall, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit, passionfruit, and crushed pine needles. Subtle dank resin and spice from Columbus Cryo blend with tropical pineapple and a confectionery sweetness. Malt is very low, providing a faint grainy-sweet background with no detectable esters.
Taste. Sharp, clean initial impression of citrus zest and tropical fruit. The mid-palate reveals layers of pineapple and earthy resin. Malt flavor is minimal, characterized by clean, crackery Pilsner notes. Bitterness is firm and assertive, leading into a very dry, crisp finish with a long, resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, slightly mouth-watering texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the dry finish. Alcohol presence is well-integrated, providing only a very light, smooth warmth.
