Two Flints Brewery

Looking Glass is a contemporary take on the American IPA, utilizing a hybrid yeast blend to achieve exceptional clarity and a crisp, lean profile. The hop bill is front-and-center, featuring Simcoe Cryo, Nelson Sauvin, and Mosaic to deliver a vivid spectrum of passion fruit, white grape, and ripe blueberry. Unlike old-school interpretations, this beer eschews heavy caramel and pine, focusing instead on a bright, fruity intensity. The result is a vibrant, modern West Coast IPA that balances its aromatic complexity with a highly attenuated, dry finish and a restrained bitterness that invites repeated, refreshing sips.

Appearance. Medium gold (6 SRM); brilliant clarity; persistent, medium-sized white head with fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring pronounced tropical fruit, crushed gooseberry, and mixed berries. Low, clean, grainy malt supports the hop presentation with no detectable caramel or pine. Clean fermentation profile with very low yeast esters.

Taste. High hop flavor echoing the aroma with notes of passion fruit, white wine grape, and blueberry. Low, clean, bready maltiness. Medium-high bitterness that is firm yet restrained for the style. Finishes very dry and clean with a lingering fruity, hoppy aftertaste and no harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate to high carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and no astringency.
