This Hazy IPA delivers a saturated sensory experience driven by a complex hop blend of Citra, Idaho 7, Talus, and Nelson Sauvin. On the nose, intense notes of mango and pineapple collide with crushed gooseberry and soft floral undertones. The addition of oats and wheat creates a dense, pillowy structure that carries flavors of tropical stone fruit and zesty citrus across the palate. Despite its 6.7% ABV, the bitterness remains restrained and smooth, leading to a succulent, juice-forward finish. It is a vibrant example of the style, balancing high fruit esters with a soft, bready malt backbone.
Appearance. Color is pale gold (SRM 4-6) with a deep, opaque haze that creates a luminous shine. Topped by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring layers of tropical mango, passionfruit, and bright citrus from the Citra. Talus provides distinct pink grapefruit and sage-like herbal notes, while Nelson Sauvin adds a refined white grape character. The malt is low but present as fresh bread and raw grain from the oats and wheat.
Taste. Massive fruity hop flavor echoing the aroma with pineapple, citrus, and stone fruit leading. The bitterness is low to moderate and exceptionally smooth, never sharp. A light, grainy malt sweetness from the oats and wheat supports the hop intensity. The finish is off-dry and lingering with a juicy, tropical aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, and pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, devoid of any astringency or raw starch harshness.
