Disco Midnight reimagines the brewery’s flagship pale ale as a vibrant American Stout, blending a smooth, roasty foundation with aggressive dry-hopping. The sensory experience is defined by the interplay of dark chocolate and espresso notes against the bright, resinous punch of Chinook, the piney depth of Simcoe, and the tropical, berry-forward aromatics of Mosaic. This fusion creates a bold contrast where the charred malt backbone meets a modern hop profile, offering a refreshing citrus lift to the traditional stout structure. It is a harmonious sensory transition that remains approachable yet complex, delivering a crisp, hop-forward edge to a classically dark and roasty base.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40 SRM) with a large, persistent, light tan head that displays excellent lacing as it recedes.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring roasted coffee and dark chocolate. This is balanced by a strong American hop character of grapefruit, pine resin, and subtle blueberry, with very low fruity esters.

Taste. Initial impression of bittersweet chocolate and roasted coffee beans. Medium-high bitterness is complemented by citrusy and resinous hop flavors. The finish is dry and clean, leaving a lingering toasted grain and piney hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture likely enhanced by wheat. Carbonation is moderate to high, with very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and no acrid astringency.

TURNING POINT BREWING CO The brewery launched into orbit in 2017, with Aron & Cameron calling time on their day jobs and never looking back. Since then we've been busy brewing as many unique beers as possible, whilst modestly honing our craft, learning everything we can about this mysterious liquid, and trying our damnedest to cram as much fun into every minute of it as possible. In 2019, we moved our brewery to Knaresborough, after two (and a bit) years at our original site in Kirkbymoorside. We invite you into our little world filled with hops, good music, and space travel. We remain, as always, committed to producing modern, full flavored beer and having as much fun as possible while pushing the limits of what we can achieve wherever we can.
