This American Pale Ale delivers a modern sensory experience driven by a trio of Ekuanot, Sabro, and El Dorado hops. Despite its sessionable strength, it presents a complex bouquet of tropical papaya, bright lime, and a signature creamy coconut undertone. The inclusion of wheat in the grist provides a soft, rounded mouthfeel that carries these bold hop oils through to a crisp, refreshing finish. Unfined for maximum flavor retention, it balances a moderate bitterness with a clean, light malt backbone, delivering a vibrant, hop-forward profile that remains exceptionally drinkable and focused on contemporary fruit-forward aromatics.
Appearance. Pale golden (approx. 6 SRM). Moderately large, frothy white head with good retention and light lacing. Exhibits a slight to moderate haze due to being unfined and containing wheat.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity hop aroma featuring notes of tropical melon and pineapple from El Dorado, supported by the distinctive cedar and coconut notes of Sabro. Ekuanot adds layers of lime zest and subtle herbal spice. Low, neutral grainy-bready malt character remains in the background.
Taste. Hop-forward initial impression with layers of stone fruit, lemon, and tropical punch. Sabro contributes a unique creamy fruitiness, while El Dorado provides a hint of candy-like sweetness. Bitterness is moderate (approx. 35 IBU) and well-integrated. Clean fermentation profile leads to a dry, crisp finish with a lingering citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly soft texture enhanced by the wheat addition. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a lively, refreshing prickle. No perceptible alcohol warmth or astringency.
