Troubadour Magma presents a striking fusion of Old World tradition and New World aggression. This Specialty IPA pours a deep amber, greeting the glass with an explosive aromatic profile driven by heavy dry-hopping with American hops. Intense notes of passion fruit, mango, and citrus intermingle with the spicy, peppery phenols and stone fruit esters characteristic of a Belgian Tripel. On the palate, a firm bitterness provides the backbone, balanced by a medium-bodied, honeyed malt sweetness. The high carbonation and warming alcohol presence elevate the tropical flavors, leading to a complex, dry finish that lingers with resinous hop character and spicy yeast complexity.

Appearance. Deep amber to copper (12–16 SRM). Persistent, creamy off-white head with excellent lacing. Generally clear, though heavy dry-hopping may lend a very slight, fine haze.

Aroma. High intensity. Prominent American hop character featuring tropical fruit (mango, papaya), citrus, and light resin. Supported by strong Belgian yeast esters (pear, apricot) and subtle spicy phenols (clove, pepper). Low to moderate bready, honey-like malt presence.

Taste. Initial impression of bright tropical fruit and firm hop bitterness. Medium malt flavor with notes of toasted bread and light caramel. Hop flavors follow the aroma with citrus and resinous notes. Fermentation character is complex, contributing spicy yeast notes and fruity esters. Balance is hop-forward but supported by a significant malt backbone. Finish is dry to off-dry with a lingering, clean bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium to medium-full body. High carbonation creates a lively, effervescent mouthfeel. Noticeable alcohol warmth is present but smooth and well-integrated. Low astringency despite high hopping.
