This massive double barrel-aged Imperial Stout presents a decadent sensory journey, forged through a 36-month maturation process. The influence of Willett rye whiskey barrels introduces a refined spicy grain character, while rum barrels contribute deep molasses and brown sugar notes. Rich cacao nibs and Madagascar vanilla create a luxurious chocolate-ganache core, complemented by a heavy layer of toasted coconut. The profile is intensely aromatic and viscous, balancing charred malt bitterness with dessert-like sweetness. It is a harmonious, multi-layered experience where the high alcohol is perfectly integrated into a velvety, warming finish, reflecting a sophisticated interplay between spirit-soaked oak and lush adjuncts.

Appearance. Opaque, jet black color (40+ SRM). It features a dark tan head with moderate retention, leaving thick, oily legs on the glass that highlight its high viscosity and alcohol content.

Aroma. High intensity. Initial aromas of toasted coconut and dark chocolate cacao nibs lead into Madagascar vanilla. The double-barrel aging provides complex layers of spicy rye, oaky tannins, and sweet rum, supported by a background of roasted espresso and burnt grain.

Taste. Incredibly rich and complex; initial flavors of sweet coconut and liquid cacao transition into dark fruit esters like raisins and prunes. The mid-palate reveals spicy rye whiskey and charred oak, while the finish is long and sweet with lingering vanilla and rum. Bitterness is moderate, providing a necessary balance to the dense malt sweetness.

Mouthfeel. Full to very full-bodied with a thick, chewy, and velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A smooth, significant alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, lacking any harsh solvent notes.
