This crisp Alpine Lager offers a refreshing interpretation of the American Lager style, characterized by a clean, pale malt base. The use of unique Swiss yeast introduces subtle floral and fruity nuances that elevate the traditional neutral profile. German hops are at the forefront; Mandarina Bavaria contributes a bright citrus zest, while Hallertau Blanc provides a delicate hint of white grape and spice. The result is an easy-drinking, highly carbonated beer with a dry, snappy finish. It balances the simplicity of a mountain lager with sophisticated hop layers, making it exceptionally thirst-quenching and bright.
Appearance. Very pale straw (2-3 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a white, frothy head that has moderate retention and leaves light lacing.
Aroma. Low intensity but complex for the style. A base of sweet, grainy malt is complemented by moderate floral notes from the Swiss yeast. Distinct hop aromas of tangerine and citrus zest from Mandarina Bavaria pair with a light vinous, gooseberry quality from Hallertau Blanc. Clean fermentation with no sulfur.
Taste. Initial impression is crisp and neutral-leaning, quickly followed by a light grainy sweetness. The hop flavor is moderately low, showcasing citrus peel and a touch of herbal spice. A subtle fruity ester profile adds depth without being heavy. Bitterness is low, leading to a very dry, clean, and refreshing finish.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that creates a noticeable carbonic bite. Very smooth with no alcohol warmth or astringency, enhancing the beer’s highly drinkable and thirst-quenching nature.
