Trig Brewery

Trig Brewery False Summit is a crisp American IPA that captures the essence of the West Coast style through a classic quartet of hops. Columbus provides a pungent, resinous foundation, while Centennial and Amarillo drive vibrant layers of grapefruit zest and floral orange blossom. Simcoe adds a distinctive forest-pine complexity that cuts through the light, bready malt backbone. A touch of biscuit-like character provides structural support without any lingering sweetness. Brilliantly clear and assertively bitter, this beer finishes remarkably dry and clean, leaving a refreshing trail of citrus oils and resinous pine needles on the palate.

Appearance. Medium gold (6-8 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, white head with excellent persistence and intricate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent notes of grapefruit peel, lemon zest, and orange floral scents. Supporting notes of resinous pine and a touch of dank earthiness are present. Low, clean, biscuity maltiness provides a neutral background. Clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward and bitter. Flavors of citrus pith, resinous pine, and dried wildflowers dominate. Low, grainy, and biscuity malt flavor supports the hop intensity without adding weight. Firm, medium-high bitterness provides a sharp, clean edge. The finish is bone-dry and crisp with a lingering citrusy and resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, accentuating the dry finish. No astringency or noticeable alcohol warmth.
