This Australian Sparkling Ale presents a vibrant, fruit-forward profile where the inclusion of dehydrated mango takes center stage. Built on a clean base of Pilsner malt, the beer offers a crisp graininess that supports an expressive tropical bouquet. The citrusy and floral qualities of Cascade hops provide a necessary counterpoint to the fruit's natural sweetness, creating a balanced bitterness that cuts through the surprisingly fuller body. Effervescent and refreshing, it combines the traditional high carbonation of the style with a modern, juicy twist, finishing dry with a lingering note of fresh tropical fruit and subtle herbal hop spice.
Appearance. Intense deep yellow to gold (approx. 6 SRM) with a tall, frothy, and persistent white head. Exhibits high effervescence with brilliant clarity, though it may show a slight fruit-induced haze if not decanted.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring a dominant aroma of ripe mango. The hop character is notable for the floral and grapefruit-citrus notes of Cascade. The malt presents as clean, grainy Pilsner malt with very low sweetness, complemented by light esters of pear and apple.
Taste. Initial flavors of grainy-sweet Pilsner malt and succulent mango are quickly balanced by a medium-high bitterness mid-palate. The Cascade hops contribute citrus peel and light herbal flavors.
