This American IPA is a vibrant showcase of Washington-grown ingredients, featuring a focused collaboration with LINC malt and HAAS. The sensory profile is dominated by a powerful citrus core driven by Comet and Citra hops, further intensified by the addition of HAAS Euphorics. Expect an explosion of ruby grapefruit and zesty lime peel on the nose, leading into a crisp, hop-forward palate. The clean, grainy malt backbone allows the aggressive citrus and subtle resinous undertones to shine, finishing with a classic, firm bitterness and a refreshing, dry snap that emphasizes its local terroir and modern hop-derived intensity.
Appearance. Medium gold with a slight, modern haze. Persistent, medium-sized white head with fine-textured lacing.
Aroma. High intensity citrus; dominant grapefruit and lemon zest from the Comet and Citra hops, bolstered by a concentrated fruity essence. Low, clean, bready malt notes with a neutral fermentation profile and no significant esters.
Taste. Bold initial impression of zesty grapefruit and tropical citrus. Hop bitterness is firm and clean, balanced by a light, grainy malt sweetness. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering, resinous citrus aftertaste and minimal caramel interference.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily hop texture. Moderate-high carbonation. Very light, integrated alcohol warmth consistent with 7% ABV. No harshness or astringency.
