Taking Shape is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a complex New Zealand hop profile. Motueka provides bright accents of lemon and lime, while NZ Cascade introduces layers of pink grapefruit, succulent papaya, and a delicate touch of sweet red berry. The addition of Waimea, through cold-pressed hop juice, creates an intense sensory burst of fresh tangerine, pomelo, and passionfruit. A subtle underbelly of resinous pine adds depth to the aromatic profile. Supported by a soft, bready malt character, this beer delivers a lush, juicy mouthfeel and a clean finish that emphasizes pure hop saturation without harshness.

Appearance. Straw to light amber (3-6 SRM) with a significant, opaque haze that gives the beer a luminous shine. Supports a medium, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring a complex blend of tangerine, pomelo, and passionfruit. Secondary notes of lime zest, red berry, and tropical papaya emerge alongside a structural resinous pine. The malt is low and neutral, providing a light bready background with clean fermentation esters.

Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with dominant citrus notes of lemon, lime, and grapefruit. Tropical papaya and passionfruit flavors are prominent in the mid-palate. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness that is well-masked by the soft body. Malt flavor is low and grainy, leading to an off-dry, smooth finish with no hop harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, soft, and slightly pillowy texture. Medium carbonation provides a gentle lift. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated. Absence of astringency or raw starch texture.
