Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark brown with ruby highlights (SRM 18-24). Features a moderate, creamy light tan head with fair retention and slight lacing. Clear.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring rich caramel, toffee, and burnt sugar. Low roasted malt character provides a background of chocolate or cocoa. Very low earthy hop aroma and subtle fruity esters like plum.
Taste. Malt-forward initial impression of bready biscuit and dark caramel. Flavors of burnt sugar and gentle warming roasted malt evolve into notes of nuttiness and light chocolate. Let settle and keep cool for at least 4 hours (Preferably 12+)
Pour without venting (it will be lively)
As the flow slows, open the vent at the top - this will allow you to pour.
Close the vent and open it when you pour your beer - close it immediately after.
