This vibrant Double IPA, a collaboration for the 2025 Digital Neighbourhood series, radiates an intense hop-forward character. The aromatic profile is dominated by a saturated blend of Citra, Motueka, Galaxy, and Riwaka, delivering a multi-layered sensory experience of lime zest, passion fruit, and sun-ripened peach. A lean, neutral malt base allows these New World hops to shine, providing a clean canvas for punchy tropical and citrus notes. At 8% ABV, the beer maintains a smooth, approachable strength without being heavy. Its finish is remarkably dry, leaving a lingering trail of resinous stone fruit and a crisp, refreshing bitterness that defines the style.
Appearance. Deep gold with a slight haze; moderate white head with excellent persistence and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of lime, passion fruit, and peach. Background notes of crushed citrus and a hint of tropical resin are supported by a neutral, grainy malt character and very clean fermentation.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors of mango, lime zest, and stone fruit dominate the palate. Malt presence is low and unobtrusive, providing a soft, crackery foundation. Bitterness is firm and clean, leading into a dry, lingering finish of tropical fruit and resinous citrus.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a crisp bite. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but never harsh.
