This Double IPA presents a lush, velvety profile built upon a foundation of Pilsner malt, malted oats, malted wheat, and rolled oats, creating a creamy and substantial mouthfeel. The hop profile is exceptionally complex, utilizing Citra and Citra Cryo to deliver vibrant orange flesh, while Sabro introduces a distinct coconut cream essence. Exotic lychee notes from Zappa interplay with Centennial’s resinous pine and lemon peel. The sensory journey concludes with a refreshing aromatic apple mint finish. It balances high-intensity tropical fruit and citrus aromas against a firm, clean bitterness, maintaining the assertive yet smooth character expected of the style.

Appearance. Deep straw to light gold (6-8 SRM). Topped with a moderate-sized, persistent white head with fine lacing. Hazy appearance due to the heavy use of protein-rich oats and wheat.

Aroma. Intense hop-forward aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit (lychee), bright citrus (orange), and a unique creamy coconut note. Secondary notes of resinous pine and a cool, minty herbal quality. Grainy, soft malt remains in the background. Clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors of orange, lychee, and coconut cream. Mid-palate introduces resinous lemon peel and a touch of spice. Bitterness is moderately high but smooth, providing a clean balance to the soft malt character. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering pine and apple mint aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, luscious texture derived from the oat and wheat additions. Moderate carbonation. Restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No harsh hop-derived astringency.
