Track Brewing Company’s Iridescence is a luminous Double IPA that captures a vast hop spectrum through a decadent, unctuous lens. A heavy-hitting blend of Citra, Motueka, Anchovy, Galaxy, and Strata hops delivers a complex sensory experience. Expect vibrant aromas of mojito lime freshness and peach melba, transitioning into a palate rich with fizzy watermelon sweets, desiccated coconut, and passionfruit. The addition of lactose imparts a luxurious, vanilla martini-like smoothness, softening the intense hop ferocity and balancing a subtle, dank reefer herb edge. This brew is exceptionally creamy, finishing with a lingering tropical brightness and well-integrated alcohol warmth.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (8 SRM). Pours with a thick, persistent, creamy white head that leaves dense lacing. Opaque and hazy, consistent with the unctuous Gold Top style.

Aroma. High intensity. A saturated hop profile dominates, showcasing Citra and Galaxy's tropical passionfruit and peach, Motueka’s zesty lime, and Strata’s distinct herbal dankness. Faint vanilla and sweet cream notes from lactose merge with a clean, neutral malt background and a soft, fruity fermentation character.

Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of tropical fruit and citrus. Prominent flavors of ripe peach, lime zest, and coconut are supported by a soft, bready malt base. Hop bitterness is moderately high but rounded and softened by residual lactose sweetness. Notes of watermelon sweets and a hint of resinous herb appear mid-palate. The finish is long and fruity with a silky, lingering aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full body, significantly enhanced by lactose for an unctuous, creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. A smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without being hot or solventy. Very low astringency.
