This Hazy IPA, a collaboration with Verdant, presents a luscious sensory profile driven by a grist of Pilsner malt, flaked wheat, flaked oats, and protein-rich chit malt. The hop bill of Motueka, Strata, and Nelson deliver an intense aromatic bouquet of pineapple and passionfruit. On the palate, expect a silky texture carrying deep flavors of papaya and sweet orange. A touch of grapefruit pith provides structure in the mid-palate, leading into notes of lemon balm and sweet pine. It finishes with a restrained, fruity bitterness, perfectly capturing the soft, juicy essence and tropical intensity intended by these modern hop masters.

Appearance. Deep straw to light gold (4-6 SRM). Opaque with a characteristic hazy shine. Topped with a persistent, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics dominated by tropical fruit. Bold notes of pineapple and passionfruit from the Nelson and Strata hops are at the forefront. Supportive citrus scents of sweet orange and a subtle hint of lemon balm. Background notes of bready, grainy malt with no caramel or toast present.

Taste. Massively hop-forward with layers of silky papaya, passionfruit, and sweet orange. The mid-palate introduces a slight grapefruit pith character and sweet pine. Bitterness is low to moderate and well-restrained, ensuring a juicy impression. The finish is off-dry and smooth, emphasizing lingering tropical fruit esters and a clean fermentation profile.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, plush, and exceptionally smooth texture derived from the flaked grains and chit malt. Moderate carbonation. No harshness or astringency, with a very subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
