Track Brewing Company’s High Seas is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a saturated hop profile through a blend of Citra, Citra Cryo, and Pacific Sunrise. The aroma is an explosion of tropical intensity, led by ripe mango and zesty grapefruit from the Citra additions. Pacific Sunrise contributes deeper notes of juicy stone fruit and jammy melon. The palate is pillowy and soft, reflecting the style’s hallmark mouthfeel, with a restrained bitterness that allows the lush fruit character to linger. It finishes with a clean, bready malt presence, offering a balanced and highly drinkable expression of modern, juice-forward brewing.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (4 SRM). Features a thick, meringue-like white head with high retention and significant lacing. Opaque, uniform haze with a healthy glow, free of particulates.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by mango, grapefruit, and pineapple from Citra. Pacific Sunrise adds stone fruit and melon notes. Low bready/grainy malt in the background. Clean fermentation with subtle fruity esters.
Taste. Massive fruity hop flavor echoing the aroma’s tropical and citrus profile. Low bready malt flavor provides a light sweetness. Low perceived bitterness for the style, finishing off-dry and smooth. No harsh or grassy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a pillowy, soft texture. Moderate carbonation. Light, well-integrated alcohol warmth from the 6.8% ABV. Completely smooth with no astringency.
