Harmonic presents a saturated sensory landscape, the result of a precise collaboration. This Double IPA showcases a massive hop profile driven by the layered use of Citra, Citra Dynaboost, and Citra Cryo, alongside the unique Manilita variety. Expect a concentrated explosion of bright pink grapefruit, zesty lime, and lush tropical mango that blankets the palate. The 8.2% ABV provides a structural warmth that supports the intense hop oils without veering into cloying sweetness. It balances a clean, neutral malt base with a firm, resinous bitterness, finishing dry and remarkably drinkable for its strength, embodying a modern, high-density approach to the style.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange. Opaque with a heavy, persistent haze. Large, frothy white head with excellent retention and thick, decorative lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit zest, tropical mango, and resinous pine. Citra additions provide a concentrated citrus punch, while Manilita contributes subtle stone fruit and melon. Malt is low and neutral, providing a light crackery background. Clean fermentation with a very subtle, floral alcohol note.
Taste. Bold initial impression of citrus oils and tropical fruit. Hop flavors of lime, passion fruit, and crushed pineapple dominate. Bitterness is firm and moderately high but smooth, avoiding harshness. Malt character is low and supportive, offering a clean, grainy foundation. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, resinous hop aftertaste and a touch of citrus pith.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, plush texture. Carbonation is moderate. Smooth, restrained alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No significant hop-derived astringency.
