This radiant Double IPA, a celestial collaboration between Track and Uchu, showcases an explosive hop profile driven by Freestyle Nectaron, Peacharine, and Eggers Special. The sensory experience is led by an intense bouquet of overripe nectarine, fuzzy peach, and tropical passionfruit, all supported by a lean, neutral malt backbone. On the palate, the stone fruit dominance of the Peacharine integrates with the subtle resinous depth of the Eggers Special. Despite its strength, the finish remains remarkably clean and dry, featuring a refined bitterness that perfectly balances the lush fruit esters. It is a modern, masterful expression of the style, offering profound depth and a smooth, warming glow.
Appearance. Deep gold (7 SRM); moderate-sized, persistent white head with fine lacing; slight haze consistent with heavy dry-hopping additions.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of ripe peach, nectarine, and passionfruit. Background hints of resinous pine and citrus zest from the Nectaron hops. Very low neutral, bready malt sweetness provides support. Clean fermentation profile with a subtle, well-integrated alcohol note.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and stone fruit, specifically peach and nectarine. Moderately high hop bitterness is firm but smooth, balanced by a lean, soft malt character. Hop flavors of grapefruit and light resin persist into a medium-dry, crisp finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. Low fruity esters and a clean alcohol presence add complexity.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively mouthfeel. Noticeable but restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present. No hop-derived astringency.
