Squeeze Please is a vibrant and highly refreshing Gose that captures the essence of a traditional sour wheat beer with a modern citrus twist. The sensory profile leads with a prominent bouquet of fresh lemon zest, supported by a delicate, doughy malt foundation. On the palate, a clean, lactic acidity provides a sharp but balanced sour tang that complements the bright citrus notes. A gentle seasoning of flaked sea salt adds a savory roundness and a subtle lip-smacking quality, enhancing the perceived body while leaving the palate eager for more. With its effervescent carbonation and dry finish, this light-bodied ale is exceptionally crisp and revitalizing.
Appearance. Yellow (3 SRM), unfiltered with a moderate haze. Features a tall, white head with tight bubbles and good retention, accompanied by visible effervescence.
Aroma. High intensity of fresh lemon zest and citrusy coriander. Low malt character of bread dough. No hop aroma. Fermentation is clean with a distinct, sharp lactic tartness.
Taste. Initial impression is a bright, refreshing sourness. Medium-low bready wheat malt flavor is quickly overtaken by prominent lemon zest. Light salt character is noticeable but restrained, adding a savory dimension. Hop bitterness is very low, with acidity providing the primary balance. The finish is fully attenuated and dry with a lingering tartness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high, prickly carbonation. The flaked sea salt provides a tingly, mouthwatering sensation and a slightly rounded texture. No perceived alcohol warmth.
