Kilowatt is a vibrant Double IPA that showcases an explosive aromatic profile driven by the interplay of Mosaic and El Dorado hops. It pours a brilliant gold, releasing intense waves of tropical mango, ripe pineapple, and sweet melon, underpinned by subtle notes of blueberry and citrus zest. The palate follows with a clean, lean malt backbone that allows the hop saturation to take center stage without becoming heavy or cloying. A firm, assertive bitterness provides a crisp counterpoint to the lush fruit character, finishing dry with a lingering resinous hum. This Italian-crafted Imperial IPA balances its 8% strength with a smooth, warming integration and high drinkability.
Appearance. Gold (6-8 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a moderate, persistent white head with fine lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma with prominent tropical notes of mango and pineapple from El Dorado, alongside blueberry and citrus characteristics from Mosaic. Clean, neutral, grainy malt presence in the background; low fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. Powerful hop-forward flavor mirroring the tropical and berry-like aroma. Moderately high bitterness that is firm but clean. Low supportive malt character with a light bready touch. Finish is dry and crisp with a lingering, resinous, fruity aftertaste.
