Massive additions of Mosaic and Idaho 7 lead the charge, offering an intense bouquet of ripe blueberries and resinous pine. Azacca contributes layers of tropical mango and papaya, while a calculated touch of Sabro introduces a subtle, creamy coconut undertone. Despite its formidable strength, the palate remains focused on hop saturation rather than cloying sweetness. This wrecking ball of a beer balances its intense bitterness with a soft, pillowy texture, resulting in a complex and powerfully aromatic experience that commands attention.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (8–12 SRM). Opaque and super hazy with a dense, persistent, creamy white head that leaves thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Potent hop-forward nose featuring tropical mango, crushed pineapple, and ripe berry. Subtle notes of cedar and coconut emerge as it warms. Low grainy-sweet malt background with a clean fermentation profile and a discernible but smooth alcohol presence.
Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of tropical fruit and resin. Flavors of papaya, citrus zest, and stone fruit dominate, supported by a neutral, cracker-like malt base. High bitterness is firm but smooth, avoiding harshness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering resinous and fruity aftertaste. Complex interplay between dank berry notes and bright citrus.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, velvety creaminess. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth provides a pleasant glow without solvent heat. Very low astringency.
