On the palate, deep roasted malts offer flavors of toasted bread and cocoa, while the spirit-blended barrels introduce complex layers of caramel, black pepper, and dried dark fruit. This 8% ABV brew balances firm hop bitterness with a lingering, barrel-warmed finish, showcasing a sophisticated harmony between dark malt intensity and spirit-soaked wood character.
Appearance. Very dark brown to opaque black (SRM 38); dense, creamy tan head with excellent retention and light lacing; garnet highlights visible at the edges.
Aroma. High intensity with a base of roasted coffee and dark chocolate; layered with barrel-derived notes of spicy rye, vanilla, charred oak, and a sugary rum-like sweetness; very low earthy hop character.
