Jacked Sprat is a vibrant Hazy IPA that serves as an amplified showcase for Citra hops. The sensory experience is defined by a soft, luscious texture driven by London Ale 3 yeast, which contributes to a characteristic juicy profile. The bouquet features intense aromatics of ripe stone fruit, bright lime, and zestful grapefruit. On the palate, the hop intensity is high yet remains remarkably smooth, supported by a gentle, bready malt backbone. Its unfiltered nature ensures a hazy, opaque appearance with a persistent white head, finishing with a balanced, fruity aftertaste that highlights the multifaceted character of the hops.
Appearance. Color is straw to light amber (SRM 3-6). The beer is hazy and opaque with a luminous shine. It supports a medium, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by Citra, showcasing peach, apricot, and vibrant citrus notes like grapefruit and lime. A clean, lightly bready and grainy malt presence sits in the background. Esters from the London Ale 3 yeast provide a supportive tropical fruitiness without clashing with the hops.
Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of fruity hop flavors—tropical citrus and soft stone fruit. Malt flavor is low to moderate, presenting as neutral grain. Bitterness is moderate and smooth, never harsh, allowing the hop character to linger. The finish is off-dry and clean, with a persistent juicy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, smooth, and slightly silky texture. Carbonation is moderate. No astringency or harshness is present. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated.
