This Double IPA delivers an intense saturation of American hop character, emphasizing bright citrus and tropical fruit notes against a restrained, neutral malt backbone. Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (7-10 SRM) with good clarity, though a slight hop haze is present. Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by citrus zest, tropical passion fruit, and resinous pine. Supported by a low, neutral, grainy malt character and very light fruity fermentation esters. Alcohol is clean and integrated, not solventy.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors of grapefruit and mango lead into a moderately high bitterness that remains smooth rather than harsh. A low, supportive bready malt character provides balance without sweetness. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering, clean hop bitterness.
