This Double IPA is an assertive yet refined expression of American hop artistry, defined by an intricate layering of Simcoe, Mosaic, Centennial, and Cascade. The experience begins with a vibrant explosion of Simcoe-driven pine and succulent mango, joined by the distinctive grapefruit and honeyed citrus notes of Mosaic. On the palate, a bold bitterness supports deep waves of pineapple and passion fruit, while Centennial and Cascade provide a floral, citrusy rounding. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer remains remarkably refreshing with a clean, dry finish, balancing resinous depth with tropical brilliance for a powerful sensory profile.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale copper with brilliant clarity; features a moderate-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop-forward bouquet featuring resinous pine, fresh mango, and zesty grapefruit. Subtle notes of pineapple and passion fruit emerge over a background of clean, neutral malt and a faint honey-like sweetness, with a light, clean alcohol note.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors of resin, grapefruit, and tropical fruit dominate the palate. A high but smooth bitterness is balanced by a lean, grainy malt backbone. The finish is dry and lingering, showcasing floral notes and a clean, warming alcohol presence without harshness.
