This Hazy IPA presents an explosion of tropical intensity, driven by a vibrant dry-hopping regimen. The star of the show, Samba hops, delivers a saturated profile of ripe pineapple and succulent mango, accented by a distinct candy-like sweetness and zesty tangerine. These notes are amplified by the addition of Cryo-Mosaic, contributing deep layers of stone fruit and a refined citrus complexity. A foundation of soft, bready malt provides a plush canvas for the hops to shine, while the 7.2% ABV adds a gentle, integrated warmth. It is a modern, juicy experience that prioritizes fruit-forward expression and a velvety finish.
Appearance. Deep straw to pale orange (SRM 4-6) with a heavy, opaque haze that creates a luminous glow. Topped by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with exceptional retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward bouquet featuring bold waves of mango, pineapple, and tangerine. Specific notes of Cryo-Mosaic provide a complementary peach and berry undertone. The malt is subtle, offering light grainy and bready scents, while the fermentation is clean with faint fruity esters.
Taste. Massive tropical hop flavors of pineapple and mango dominate the palate, followed by a candied citrus and tangerine zest from the Samba hops. Low to medium-high bitterness is present but softly integrated, never harsh. A light bready malt backbone balances the hop saturation. The finish is off-dry and exceptionally smooth, leaving a lingering fruit-skin aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky, and pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate, enhancing the juicy character without being prickly. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present, reflecting the 7.2% strength without any harshness or astringency.
