This Weissbier presents a classic yet elevated profile, characterized by its substantial wheat malt foundation and distinctive fermentation character. Appearance. Hazy, pale gold (4-5 SRM) with a brilliant shine. Features a very thick, moussy, and long-lasting white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring pronounced aromas of ripe banana and clove. A distinct bready, doughy wheat character forms the base, complemented by light floral German hops and a subtle, cool herbal spice note from the cardamom.
Taste. Initial impression of soft, bready wheat supported by grainy-sweet Pilsner malt. The palate features a well-balanced interplay of banana esters and phenolic clove. Low bitterness allows the yeast character and the fresh, citrusy-herbal notes of cardamom to shine through a well-rounded finish that remains relatively dry.

We vonden het namelijk hoog tijd worden dat het stadje een eigen witbier kreeg. En zo geschiedde. Bij Thorns Wit brouwen we uitsluitend witbieren. Wist je dat witbier eigenlijk een verbastering van het woord tarwebier is? Denk aan 'wheat', 'weiß' en 'weit' in het oud Nederlands. Tarwe is het voornaamste ingrediënt wat witbieren met elkaar verbindt. Ook kom je vaak koriander en sinaasappel tegen in witbier. Met witbier kan je eindeloos variëren. We brouwen graag met bijzondere kruiden en aromatische hoppen.
