Thornbridge Kipling 300ml Can is brewed in Thornbridge Hall in Derbyshire, UK. The Thornbridge story began back in 2005 with a second hand 10-barrel kit in the grounds of the English country house. Brewing still takes place today on the original kit, with the focus on new, experimental brews, bespoke Hall brews, collaborations. Thornbridge created Thornbridge Kipling 300ml Can using the Nelson Sauvin hop from New Zealand - the first UK beer to contain the grape–like flavoured hop. Brewed as a SMASH (single malt and single hop) using the heritage Maris Otter as a base malt, allows the complex flavour of the hop to shine through. There is a grassy, grapefruit character in the nose, followed by passionfruit and mango. It finishes with a balanced and thirst-quenching bitterness.
