Hordaland prende il nome dal lievito utilizzato per la sua produzione, per l'appunto il lievito Kveik (una famiglia di ceppi di lieviti, rinomati per fermentare molto rapidamente e in modo pulito, dell'area precedentemente nota come Hordaland in Norvegia.). Accompagnano il lievito Kveik i luppoli Citra, Galaxy e Mosaic, utilizzati per produrre questa Neipa dall'aspetto nebuloso e torbido, tipico dello stile. Dal colore aranciato velato, torbido, è intensamente aromatica, con in evidenza note di frutta tropicale, tra cui ananas, pompelmo e pesca. Al palato la bevuta è succosa, anche qui tornano le note di frutta tropicale percepite all'olffatto, arricchite da sentori di litchi e guava, che le conferiscono un gradevole finale amaro e luppolato.

They are renowned for fermenting very quickly and cleanly. we wanted to try one of these strains for a hazy, hoppy IPA using the juicy trio of Citra, Galaxy and Mosaic hops. The beer is light in colour and bursting with flavours of pineapple, peach and grapefruit. intense tropical fruit flavours of lychee and guava resonate throughout and it finishes with a gentle bitterness.
