This refreshing collaboration between Thornbridge and Timothy Taylor’s reimagines the American Pale Ale with a distinctly English summer twist. Artesian pours a brilliant pale gold, emitting a vibrant aroma where the delicate, perfumed notes of elderflower intertwine with the sharp, green-fruit tang of gooseberries. The malt profile remains light and supportive, offering subtle crackery notes that allow the botanical additions to shine. On the palate, a crisp, zingy acidity from the gooseberries balances a moderate hop bitterness, leading to a clean and remarkably quaffable finish. It is an elegant, sessionable expression of seasonal fruit and floral harmony.

Appearance. Pale golden (5-6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Topped by a moderately large, frothy white head with good retention and delicate lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring a distinct floral perfume from elderflower and a sharp, citrus-like zing from gooseberries. Low grainy maltiness provides a neutral backdrop, complemented by light esters and a hint of herbal hop character.

Taste. Initial impression is bright and crisp, leading into tart gooseberry flavors and a soft, floral elderflower mid-palate. The malt offers a light, bready support. Moderate hop bitterness provides balance without being aggressive. Finishes dry and clean with lingering notes of green fruit.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation that enhances the zingy fruit character. Smooth and refreshing with no alcohol warmth or astringency.
