Cloak is a vibrant Hazy IPA that envelops the senses in a saturated, juicy profile. Hand-selected Citra and Idaho 7 hops lead a massive aromatic charge, delivering concentrated waves of guava, ripe peach, and candied orange Starburst. The addition of oats and wheat creates a soft, pillowy texture that carries these tropical layers across the palate with ease. While the hop expression is intense, the bitterness remains restrained and smooth, allowing the bright citrus and stone fruit characteristics to shine. It finishes with a clean, fruity linger, epitomizing the modern, hop-forward character of the style.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (4–6 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze and a luminous shine. Topped by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring tropical guava, stone fruit peach, and sweet citrus zest. Background notes of bready, grainy malt from the wheat and oats provide a neutral foundation. Fermentation is clean with supportive fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical juice. High flavors of peach and guava dominate, followed by a distinct orange candy sweetness. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness that is soft and well-integrated. Malt flavor is low, providing a light bready backbone. Finishes off-dry and smooth with a lingering fruit-skin aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, plush texture from the flaked oats and wheat. Moderate carbonation. Very smooth with no hop harshness or astringency and a well-integrated alcohol presence.
