This Hazy IPA presents an inviting, tropical-forward profile designed for high drinkability. The nose is dominated by intense aromas of zesty lemon peel, juicy grapefruit, and ripe mango. On the palate, the experience evolves with layers of light honey and tropical fruit, complemented by unique floral hints of lavender and a pithy bitter orange finish. Despite its hop-heavy character, the malt remains supportive with a clean, grainy backdrop. Appearance. Luminous straw to pale gold with a consistent, opaque haze that creates a characteristic shine. Topped by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of lemon peel, fresh grapefruit, and tropical mango. A delicate floral lavender note adds complexity. The malt profile is understated but present, offering a clean, grainy, and slightly bready foundation. Fermentation character is neutral, allowing the vibrant fruit esters and hop oils to lead without any clashing buttery or acidic notes.
Taste. An explosion of fruity hop flavors mirrors the aroma, highlighting mango and zesty lemon. A subtle honey-like malt flavor provides balance without being cloying. Bitterness is restrained and smooth, manifesting as a gentle bitter orange pith in the finish rather than a sharp bite. The mid-palate is clean and refreshing, leading to a smooth, soft aftertaste that lacks any hop harshness, toastiness, or astringency.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a remarkably smooth and soft texture. Carbonation is moderate, enhancing the refreshing and crushable quality. There is no perceived alcohol warmth given the moderate gravity, nor is there any astringency or raw starchiness, resulting in a clean and effortless finish.
