This Hazy IPA offers a luscious sensory experience reminiscent of its namesake confection. An opaque, golden pour releases an intense bouquet dominated by bright citrus and the coconut-tinged tropical notes of Sabro hops. These hop-derived cues are enveloped by the nostalgic sweetness of marshmallow and aromatic vanilla, creating a creamy aromatic profile. On the palate, a soft, pillowy texture carries flavors of fresh orange zest and rich vanilla bean, balanced by a restrained bitterness that allows the adjuncts to shine. The finish is smooth and lingering, with a delicate hint of alcohol warmth characteristic of its strength and a velvety, juice-like character.
Appearance. Color is deep straw to gold (SRM 4-6) with an opaque, hazy glow and a distinctive shine. It supports a dense, rocky, white head with excellent retention and thick, meringue-like lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aroma featuring prominent fresh orange and tangerine citrus notes blended with Sabro-derived coconut and tropical fruit. Secondary aromas of sweet vanilla and sugary marshmallow are highly noticeable. Background notes of bready, neutral malt are present with no caramel or toast.
Taste. Initial impression is of sweet orange and vanilla cream, followed by hop flavors of coconut and pineapple. Bitterness is low-moderate and soft, never sharp. Malt flavor is lightly bready and supportive. The finish is off-dry and smooth, dominated by a lingering orange-vanilla character and subtle tropical hop esters.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, contributing to a full mouth-coating sensation without harshness or astringency.
