Thin Man Brewery Bliss
Imperial IPA 8 º
Bliss is a vibrant Double IPA that showcases an assertive hop profile against a soft, hazy canvas. A light gold pour supports a resilient, fluffy white head, releasing intense aromas of dank pine, ripe mango, and honeydew melon. On the palate, a rush of citrus and tropical fruit notes dominates, supported by a clean, neutral malt backbone that allows the hop character to shine. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer remains remarkably drinkable with a smooth, medium body and a dry, lingering finish. The firm bitterness is well-integrated, providing a crisp counterpoint to the lush fruit character without becoming harsh.
Appearance. Light gold (4-6 SRM). Hazy clarity with a large, fluffy, white persistent head leaving significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Prominent dank pine and resinous notes layered over ripe mango, cantaloupe melon, and zesty citrus. Malt is low and neutral, offering a light bready hint in the background. Clean fermentation profile with no solventy alcohol.
Taste. Bold hop flavors mirroring the aroma: citrus pith, tropical mango, and sweet melon followed by a resinous, dank quality. Bitterness is high but smooth and lacking harshness. Malt character is soft and grainy, providing enough support for the hop saturation without sweetness. Finish is dry and clean with a long-lasting hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, smooth texture. Moderate to medium-high carbonation. Light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No hop-derived astringency.

Pours almost transparent with just a slight hint of cloudiness. Hop flavour comes off as rather frui ...ty with perhaps a hint of sweet candy. This was one of a flight of IPAs I enjoyed there and they were all very good (but one) & this one stood out in terms of the fruity/candy flavour.
