This Hazy IPA presents a lush, sensory-forward profile centered on the interplay between Madagascar vanilla beans and a complex double dry-hop blend. Cryo Citra and Idaho 7 drive intense waves of peach-apricot and tropical fruit, while Motueka contributes a bright, zesty tropical lime accent. The addition of Comet adds a subtle citrus depth. The overall experience is reminiscent of a vanilla creamsicle, where the aromatic sweetness of the bean softens the hop edges without obscuring the vibrant fruit character. It maintains the soft, pillowy texture characteristic of the style, finishing with a delicate, balanced bitterness and lingering stone fruit.
Appearance. Straw to light amber (5 SRM), opaque with a soft hazy shine. Features a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by tropical hop notes of mango, peach-apricot, and fresh lime (Motueka, Citra). Distinct Madagascar vanilla bean provides a sweet, creamy aromatic layer. Low, bready-grainy malt background with clean fermentation and no sulfur or diacetyl.
Taste. Initial impression of sweet tropical fruit and vanilla. High hop flavor featuring peach and apricot (Idaho 7) and citrus zest. Low to moderate bitterness (approx. 40 IBU) that remains soft and integrated. Low bready malt flavor. Finish is smooth and off-dry, with a lingering creamsicle and stone fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture. Moderate carbonation. No alcohol warmth (6% ABV). Completely lacks harshness or hop astringency.
