The sensory journey begins with whirlpool additions of Centennial and Grüngeist, providing delicate notes of apple blossom, orange rind, and a hint of spicy pine. A massive dry-hop regimen featuring Citra, Simcoe, and Chinook elevates the profile, with Simcoe leading a charge of honeymelon, wildflowers, and fresh morning dew. This beer balances intense New World hop character with a soft, pillowy structure and a clean, bready malt foundation.
Appearance. Color is a glowing, hazy straw to light orange (4–6 SRM) with an opaque, luminous shine. It supports a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity with a complex bouquet of honeymelon, orange rind, and wildflowers. Subtle notes of apple blossom and spicy pine intermingle with a clean, bready malt backdrop and light fruity esters from the English yeast.
Taste. Explodes with tropical fruit and citrus flavors, notably melon and orange. A soft, grainy malt sweetness supports the hops. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as smooth rather than sharp. It finishes off-dry and clean with lingering notes of pine and floral dew.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate, enhancing the soft mouthfeel without any astringency or harshness. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated.
