This fruity complexity is grounded by a classic CTZ and Amarillo base, providing structured layers of sticky pine and pungent resin. A lean malt bill allows these hop characters to lead, finishing crisp and relatively dry. The sensory experience is clean and focused, reflecting a bright, hop-driven aromatic profile without excessive malt sweetness, delivering a refreshing yet punchy bitterness.
Appearance. Pours a medium gold to light amber with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, off-white head with excellent persistence and intricate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring pineapple, passion fruit, and crushed grapes from the Nelson Sauvin, complemented by orange zest and a sharp piney undertone. Malt is low and clean, suggesting pale crackers, with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Highly hop-forward with flavors of ripe melon and stone fruit transitioning into a firm, resiny bitterness. Initial impressions of tropical sweetness from El Dorado are quickly balanced by a medium-high bitterness. The finish is notably dry and clean with a lingering citrus and pine aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a refreshing bite. Alcohol warmth is very subtle and well-integrated.
