This Double IPA presents an expressive sensory profile driven by a heavy-handed application of Citra, Motueka, Idaho 7, and Galaxy hops. The aromatic intensity is high, bursting with pungent tropical fruit and bright citrus notes. On the palate, a soft, mouthwatering texture emerges from the inclusion of oats, creating a velvety foundation for flavors of lime zest, mango, and passionfruit. Despite its 8% ABV, the alcohol is well-integrated, providing a subtle warmth that supports the complex hop resins. It finishes with a balanced bitterness that cleanses the palate without harshness, leaving a lingering impression of Southern Hemisphere fruitiness.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange; hazy with a moderate-sized, persistent, creamy white head that leaves significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of mango, passionfruit, and lime zest. Background notes of pineapple and apricot are supported by a clean, grainy, neutral malt character with no significant esters.

Taste. Strong hop flavors of tropical fruit and citrus dominate the initial impression. A clean, soft, grainy malt backbone provides support without being sweet. Bitterness is moderately high but smooth, leading to a medium-dry finish with a lingering resinous and fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, smooth texture from the oats. Moderate carbonation. A gentle, restrained alcohol warmth is present but remains well-integrated and smooth.
