This West Coast-style American IPA showcases a vibrant hop profile driven by Mosaic, Nelson, and Strata. The sensory experience begins with a punchy aromatic display of white grape, crushed passionfruit, and subtle berry. On the palate, the Nelson hops provide a signature gooseberry note, while Mosaic contributes layers of tropical fruit and pine. Strata grounds the profile with a distinctively dank, strawberry-tinged finish. True to its West Coast roots, it maintains a lean malt profile and a firm, cleansing bitterness that leads to a dry, crisp conclusion, perfectly balancing the supportive structure of its 7% ABV without cloying sweetness.
Appearance. Medium gold to light amber with brilliant clarity. Features a persistent, medium-sized white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by white grape, passionfruit, and blueberry. Subtle resinous pine and dank herbal notes follow. Low, clean, grainy-sweet malt presence with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Prominent hop flavors of gooseberry, tropical fruit, and citrus zest. Low grainy malt sweetness quickly gives way to a medium-high to high bitterness. The finish is very dry and clean with a lingering hoppy, resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly resinous texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a crisp bite. Very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present.
