Dwell Batch 5 reimagines the American Lager through koelschip open fermentation and three months of cold oak conditioning. This brilliant, pale gold lager presents a crisp profile accented by delicate layers of Asian pear and a bright, mild lemon acidity. While the base maintains a clean, grainy malt character typical of the style, the wood contact introduces a whisper of dry oak and a subtle wild funk. The result is an exceptionally quaffable and refreshing experience, balancing a light-bodied frame with a sophisticated fermentation profile that finishes bone-dry and remarkably clean.
Appearance. Very pale straw to medium yellow; brilliant clarity with a white, frothy head that maintains moderate persistence and leaves light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring grainy-sweet malt and a hint of corn, elevated by a distinctive mild lemon acidity and crisp Asian pear. A light floral hop character is secondary to a subtle wild funk and a whisper of dry oak.
