This Hazy Double India Pale Ale, a collaboration with Brujos Brewing, presents a saturated tropical profile driven by a heavy-handed application of Citra Lupulin Powder, Galaxy, Mosaic, and Riwaka hops. The Citra provides a sharp lime and grapefruit foundation, while Mosaic and Galaxy contribute layers of passionfruit, blueberry, and overripe peach. Riwaka adds a distinctively pungent, citrusy diesel edge that sharpens the finish. Despite its 9% ABV, the malt remains a supportive, soft presence, allowing the intense hop oils to dominate. It is a dense, aromatic powerhouse that balances lush fruit sweetness with a restrained, smooth bitterness characteristic of the modern hazy style.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (7-9 SRM); opaque and hazy with a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head that leaves heavy lacing.

Aroma. Intense, pungent hop bouquet of tropical fruit (passionfruit, guava), citrus (tangerine, lime), and stone fruit (apricot). Citra and Mosaic lend a slight dankness, while Riwaka adds a floral, spicy top note. Malt is nearly imperceptible, providing only a faint, sweet, bready backdrop.

Taste. Bold flavors of mango, pineapple, and sweet grapefruit dominate the palate. The Citra Lupulin Powder provides a concentrated citrus punch, followed by the earthy, berry-like notes of Mosaic. Bitterness is firm but rounded, lacking harshness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering resinous and tropical fruit aftertaste. Alcohol is well-hidden but adds a clean sweetness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. A smooth, warming alcohol presence is noticeable but well-integrated, with no hop-derived astringency.
