Imperial IPA 7.2 º 60 IBU
This Double IPA presents a bold sensory profile defined by an aggressive hop character and a clean, fermentable base. A vibrant display of citrus and tropical fruit notes leads the aromatic charge, supported by a subtle, neutral malt backdrop. On the palate, the hop intensity is immediate, delivering layers of resinous pine and stone fruit alongside an extreme, persistent bitterness that defines the style's assertive nature. Despite its strength, the beer maintains a medium-bodied, smooth texture with a dry, crisp finish. The integration of high alcohol content provides a light, clean warmth that complements the assertive, hop-forward balance and provides high drinkability.
Appearance. Pale gold to light orange-copper (6-12 SRM). Good clarity with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head and significant lacing.
Aroma. High to intense hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit, tropical fruit, and resinous pine. A supportive, clean, neutral to grainy maltiness is found in the background with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Strong hop flavors of citrus zest and resin. High to very high hop bitterness that is assertive but not harsh. Low, clean, and unobtrusive malt character leads to a medium-dry finish with a lingering, bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Moderate to high carbonation with a restrained, clean alcohol warmth and no harsh hop-derived astringency.
