This American Pale Ale highlights The Kernel’s signature dry, light-bodied approach, specifically engineered to showcase the unique sensory profile of Summit hops. The aromatic profile is dominated by pungent citrus, offering distinct notes of tangerine and pink grapefruit, layered over a subtle resinous pine. On the palate, a minimalist foundation of malted barley provides a clean, crackery backdrop, allowing the hop-derived bitterness to take center stage. The experience is defined by its crispness and transparency of flavor, culminating in a bone-dry, refreshing finish where lingering citrus oils and a touch of herbal spice persist cleanly without any cloying malt interference.
Appearance. Pale golden (approximately 6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. It supports a moderately large, frothy white head with excellent retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. High hop intensity featuring assertive notes of lemon zest, orange peel, and a hint of damp pine resin. Low, neutral, bready malt character supports the hop-forward presentation. Fermentation is very clean with no significant esters.
