This decadent Imperial Stout, crafted in collaboration with Nerdbrewing, offers a complex sensory profile that balances a rich pastry-inspired base with vibrant fruit. The appearance is jet black, supporting an aroma dominated by bittersweet chocolate, roasted malts, and a distinct nutty almond character. Fresh strawberries provide a bright, jammy fruitiness and a subtle tartness that expertly cuts through the dense, sugary malt sweetness. The experience is reminiscent of a luxurious fruit liqueur, where the charred grain bitterness and strawberry acidity provide a sophisticated counterpoint to the velvety, cocoa-forward body. It concludes with a long, warming finish that melds dark fruit and marzipan notes.
Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40 SRM). Features a thick, creamy, deep tan head with moderate retention and significant lacing. High viscosity is evident through noticeable legs on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of bittersweet chocolate, cocoa powder, and dark roasted coffee. Prominent notes of fresh strawberry and a sweet, marzipan-like almond presence. Subtle alcohol warmth and low dark fruit esters such as plum.
