Aureal by The Flying Inn is a modern American IPA that bridges the gap between coastal styles. It showcases the intense tropical fruit character of Galaxy and the bright citrus notes of Citra, supported by the apricot and floral nuances of Yellow Sub hops. The addition of barley, oat, and wheat malts provides a smooth, soft texture reminiscent of haze-forward variants, while a clean West Coast yeast strain ensures a crisp, highly drinkable finish. This golden ale balances juicy fruitiness with a firm, integrated bitterness, creating a vibrant sensory experience that remains refreshing from the first sip to the lingering, resinous aftertaste.

Appearance. Medium gold (7 SRM) with a slight, persistent haze. Features a medium-sized, white, creamy head with excellent retention and significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent passion fruit and pineapple from Galaxy, alongside grapefruit and lime zest from Citra. Subordinate notes of stone fruit and white flowers. Low, clean, grainy maltiness with a soft cereal background from the oats and wheat.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical mango and citrus. Medium-high hop bitterness is clean and well-integrated. Low grainy-sweet malt flavor with a soft, bready character. Fermentation is very clean with no significant esters. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering, hoppy, and resinous aftertaste.
