This modern take on a German Pils radiates a contemporary energy, synthesizing old-world structure with new-world aromatics. While the foundation is built on crisp, grainy malt, the sensory profile is dominated by a bold lupulin charge of Citra, Riwaka, and Eclipse. The addition of Tropicalizer amplifies thiol precursors, driving intense notes of passion fruit, citrus zest, and sweet mandarin. It retains the signature bone-dry finish and refreshing bitterness expected of the style, but layers in a vibrant tropical potency. Every sip is clean and snappy, showcasing a brilliant balance between traditional lager precision and innovative hop character.
Appearance. Pale straw to brilliant gold. Pours with high clarity and is topped by a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. The traditional grainy, cracker-like malt is secondary to a rush of modern hop character. Expect bright citrus, passion fruit, and guava notes alongside a subtle spicy mandarin edge. Fermentation is exceptionally clean with no esters.
Taste. Initial light, doughy malt sweetness is immediately cut by a firm, clean hop bitterness. Flavors of citrus zest and tropical fruit dominate the mid-palate. The finish is very dry and crisp, with a lingering, pleasant bitterness and a subtle flinty mineral quality.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a snappy, crisp texture. High carbonation provides a refreshing prickle on the tongue. No alcohol warmth or astringency present.
