Birbat is a sessionable interpretation of the Belgian Blond Ale, pouring a luminous gold with brilliant clarity. Its sensory profile is defined by a vibrant interplay of Belgian yeast esters—evoking white orchard fruits and wildflowers—and a distinct citrusy lift from late-addition American hops. A gentle honey-like malt sweetness provides a soft, approachable backbone that transitions into a crisp, refreshing finish. While lighter in alcohol than traditional examples, it retains the signature spicy-peppery complexity and smooth malt character of the style, resulting in a beautifully balanced, floral ale that honors its Valencian inspiration.
Appearance. Golden color (4-6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, dense white head with good persistence and fine Belgian lacing.
Aroma. High intensity featuring esters of white fruit like pear and apple, accompanied by field flowers. Subtle spicy-peppery phenols from the Belgian yeast are complemented by a bright citrus note from the American hops. Low grainy-sweet malt and a hint of honey in the background.
