Vanishing Twin is a modern American Pale Ale that bridges the gap between traditional drinkability and New Zealand-inspired softness. This hazy, pale gold ale showcases an intense bouquet of crushed gooseberry and white wine from Nelson Sauvin, paired with the zesty lime character of Motueka. Riwaka adds a punch of passionfruit and citrus, while Pacific Sunrise provides layers of ripe stone fruit. The palate follows the nose with a soft, pillowy texture and a gentle, integrated bitterness. It finishes clean with a lingering tropical sweetness and a subtle, bready malt backbone that supports the vibrant hop profile.
Appearance. Pale golden (6 SRM) with a prominent haze. Supports a moderately large, creamy white head with good retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of gooseberry, passionfruit, lime zest, and ripe peach. Very low neutral grainy maltiness is present, allowing the southern hemisphere hop esters to dominate. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression of tropical fruit juice followed by distinct flavors of white grape, apricot, and grapefruit. Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka drive a complex fruity profile, while Motueka provides a bright citrus lift. Moderate bitterness is present but softened by the malt base. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering aftertaste of tropical fruit and orange.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a creamy, soft texture. Moderate carbonation. Smooth finish without any harshness or hop astringency. Very low alcohol warmth.
